Newsradio 1450 KONP is the local radio station offering news, sports, information and talk programming on AM 1450. (founded 1945)

The local newspaper is the Peninsula Daily News, originally the Port Angeles Evening News (founded 1916).

Port Angeles is also one of several minor locations in the Washington area mentioned in the Twilight book saga by Stephenie Meyer but was not seen in the movie based on the book.

Port Angeles is also the home base of one of the logging crews to be featured in the second season of the hit History Channel program, Ax Men.
